I was 7 when my father gave me my first camera. My grandfather took a lot of photos and gave my father his first camera when he was 10. They both collected Minolta cameras. Papa taught me to shoot photo's. First with my small silver point and shoot camera, later with a real DSLR.

When I was 18, I officially switched from digital to analog photography. Not that I've ever sworn off digital. In the past 10 years, I took hundreds of pictures and slowly my analog heart grew bigger and bigger. I photographed friends, vacations, on the street and basically everything I came across. My camera has become my third hand. I can trust that camera and thus myself blindly. 

With the years my confidence grew, and so did my skill. I am strong in portrait photos that are very 'real'. Actually, as in all my work, I want to capture that what will no longer be, but also the honesty of life. Portraits, processes and movement, close-up with a high depth of field are my specialty. Most of all, I have a knack for portraying pets.
