ORANJEKOEKE

The documentary Oranjekoeke follows the Frisian Oranjekoeke during the life of the Frisians and shows how the outspoken sheet cake screams (changing) tradition and how it affects all Frisians, day in and day out. 

Marrit Greidanus (Makaki Productions)   is associated with this project. As a Frisian as well as a strong (executive) producer, she hopes to take this project to a higher level. Oranjekoeke will be a co-production with Omrop Fryslân's FryslanDOK .

I further developed the film plan for this documentary during the documentary writersroom of  Cinesud  and during the Filmkick Academy of the  Northern Film Festival . At the end of this masterclass week I won the pitch competition and with it a prize of €1000 production budget. 

Due to COVID19, we have decided to postpone making this film to the spring of 2022.
